    Can tig welding on frame ruin controller?

    :roll: Some welders also ride e-bikes. *waves hands* If it was my bike, I would remove any sensitive electronics from the frame before welding on it.

    Finally got time to diagnose the trike again today. I was incorrect on the shape of the bad batteries. On my Hyperion 1420 charger, the second cell in the list is at 0.00 on all 6 packs. The charger reads the pack as a 5S pack. Looking at the balance harness coming off of the left side...

    36-100V 30-45A fuse and fuse holder?

    Go to your local auto parts store and look for a maxi fuse and holder. I'm using a 60amp fuse on my 48v trike with no issues.

    using regen with lipo

    I asked this same question during my first build. Assuming that most people don't charge their lipos to 100%, and you will be not be engaging regen right off the bat, all should be well.

    Upgrading to discs will probably require he replace the front wheel with a disc hub unit, as most rim brake bikes (even with disc mounts) don't come with disc ready hubs.

    Do your circuit breakers ever trip from vibration?

    I have over a 1000 miles on my trike, which uses a 100amp circuit breaker meant for automotive purposes. I have yet to have it trip once.

    Cattrike is a well respected brand. Although with all their trikes being AL, the ride won't be as smooth as a cromo trike. Of course, I'm guessing all their trikes come in below the 42lbs that my actionbent weighed BEFORE electrification.

    2 batteries will be added to each battery box on the trike. Making it two sides of 6, 6S 30AH (paralleled on both discharge and balance wires) . I then series connect the two battery boxes before connecting to the controller. Will this be ok?
