Im using cellmans original clutch I think the key to keeping the clutches is to avoid "slamming starts" when the wheel is already turning in freewheel and you ramp the power, you can hear the clutch "clunk" as it engages, i decided that couldnt be good for it.. erm. cellman has put an...

    PACK RECONFIG - RANGE QUESTION

Hi All Im currently running lipo on 12S 7P...50.2V 21ah.....and its just enough for my journey keeping plenty of space on the top and bottom of the charge for safety zones my question is that if i was to reconfigure this for 13S 6P ( as direct drive, a couple more MPH would be great), how...

Talk to me about magic pie (sounds like an awesome drug)

The pie uses the same windings on all sizes except the 16. normal 48V is 270 RPM, the 16 winds at 420RPM i believe Very rugged, but internal controller has known issues, and amp limitations.....I have completed nearly 4000 miles on mine, just changed bearings now

    GM Controller Capacitor Help

My experience with this controller was that the jittery feeling you are getting is when the controller is getting too hot inside the wheel.....after longer distances it was more noticable.......in the end i just went with an external controller...so much less worry

Reducing throttle by 10% using resistor?

The EU regs state... 250 continuous output maximum before the windings burn out....., so you cannot legally run a 1000w motor at limited amps the use of a button for "boost" or off road setting is considered not ,to be in line with "ebike" definition within the EU... Stupidly, the UK is the...

be careful with MagicPie (Spontaneous acceleration)

Hi :) I had this issue also, and its not really just a GM issue, but all cheaper motor kits There is a shared ground between all the connections...if this ground fails, the throttle rail cannot ground, and the ebrake wont work..... I think all the chinese manufacturers should at least wire...

Golden 'Magic' Controllers now being factory limited?

Goldenmotor internals have a huge problem with both heat dissapation and regen current...The internals have for a while been limited to 15-16 A and my last external was about 22 amp max..... All the controllers are 6 fet only ( and cheap chinese ones at that) They only have the one controller...

    Manufacturers and dealers to avoid

Hi All I know im new on this forum, so take with whatever brand of salt you want, but in my opinion, goldenmotor canada have gained a reputation for being honest, forthright, and also as is seen here, really helpful in transactions that have nothing to do with Gary salo...whenever i send him a...

POLL: Causes of Ebike Crashes and Consequences?

Hi All the most important lesson i have learned is the importance of an independent earth for the ebrake I had two hubs, front and rear...converted the rear to the external infineon 12 Fet controller, but wired up too quickly ( like all of us do)....so im planning on removing front hub On 25...
