    Qulbix Raptor 140

I am pretty tempted to do this. I think I'm nearly sold on the Raptor and should be ordering one when I move to Vancouver in a few weeks. I've got a cromotor in my closet and a big block GNG ordered from LightningRods, just not sure which one I want to use. I broke my collarbone last week...

    GNG, 1000W 48V BB-drive, $400

I don't need one, I run single speed with a totally straight chain line which has eliminated all the chain dropping at the front. I get chain drops now at the rear when jumping because this stretches the chain out a lot, I think it's flexing the chain tensioner. I guess I'll have to try and...

    GNG, 1000W 48V BB-drive, $400

It's just a broken sram x0 derailleur that I'm using backwards to push the chain out/down which strains the springs and provides lots of tension. I'm using the hardware from the DMR STS chain tensioner which is holding a skateboard wheel that I've notched a groove into with my dremel (the chain...

    Friend being harassed by police.

According to the definition of manufacture, it is: The idea that a simple sticker can get you out of hot water is absolutely crazy, but that's how the law works. When you get pulled over in a car, you show the officer some papers and that is generally enough to prove you have insurance and...

    Friend being harassed by police.

My bike is MANUFACTURED, I just haven't received any other orders yet ;) Where does it say I can't slap a sticker on a DIY bike? I see a law where it says I have to have one: (e) bears a label that is permanently affixed by the manufacturer and appears in a conspicuous location stating, in...

2014 cycling/recumbent/ebike events in Ontario area?

I'd like to get a meetup going in the GTA, as I'm living in the Ajax/Pickering area right now. If any other Durham riders want to join me for a ride, I usually go twice a day :)

    Friend being harassed by police.

We can get away with so much more riding around in the city, the cops really don't care as much in downtown Montreal. The main thing is that there are barely any cops around in the first place, they're all busy patrolling the rich suburbs. I've spent the last few months with my parents in the...

    electric trial bike

This thread seems to be where a lot of the trials discussion is happening... Been reading through posts on here regarding throttles/clutches: http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/44194-full-sized-e-trials/page-4 I'm at the point where I'm getting quite a bit of wrist fatigue after each...

    GNG, 1000W 48V BB-drive, $400

I haven't posted much in here lately, mostly because my kit has been incredibly reliable these last few months. Only problem I get is the odd chain drop after getting too much air. It's ugly, but it works great at 4000w :) I accidentally destroyed one of the motor sprocket teeth...

Post with a video of a cromotor over 100 mph

This thread came at a good time, I just pulled my cromotor out of the closet and I'll be lacing it up. Sounds like 24" downhill rim + 32S are a tested & proven combo? Any recommendations for 24" rims? I was hoping to do a 34S pack but just realized the 4115 Lyen controller only goes to 132V.

lost one of our best minds here, rkosiorek, has died

Hi Successor, I am fairly new here and never had a chance to speak to Rick, it's always sad to hear of a great mind passing away. I would be interested in purchasing a lot of the equipment that Rick left behind, what is the best way to contact you regarding that?

    GNG, 1000W 48V BB-drive, $400

I have a deposit down on a Mukluk myself, after checking out a lot of fat bike frames, I decided the Mukluk would have the best clearance for a left hand drive chain setup.

Looks great, any chance we can get the source files for the motor & jackshaft that you modelled? Would be useful for others that want to model custom brackets.

I'm considering buying a Chevy Volt

I have been using a smart with the car2go service and love how easy the car is to drive in congested city traffic. I have been thinking of getting the electric smart car for this reason. With the current $8000 rebate it's a great deal.

    Electric dirt scooter

I think I'm just confused by all the videos of people riding these things standing upright, stiff as boards. I want to see some skyvers with the foot pegs raised higher, climbing some rocks and getting some air, I'm having a hard time picturing myself having fun on these because of boring videos...

    Electric dirt scooter

I was thinking of building something like this with a skyver, but after seeing some videos of people riding electric ones I think not having a seat would really limit the kind of trials riding I like to do. The Bay in Toronto was selling an electric kick scoot called the Zumaround last year...

    wallmart fatty

Has anyone "snuck" bikes into Canada before? I'm going to drive down to the US at the end of the month to pick one or two of these up, was thinking about assembling them in the parking lot, getting some snow/dirt on them with a quick ride, then driving them back with a buddy. Would I need some...
