Road legal / Speed limit switch for on/off road riding?

My bike is 11.8KW and does over 60mph, but iv never been stopped in two years of having it built, as long as you dont drive like a fool on the road they just think you are a bike. Iv been past countless police cars and as long as you are driving like a bike on the road, they just see you as a bike.

Road legal / Speed limit switch for on/off road riding?

I was about to say the same, my bike will do over 60mph, but when im riding it in town il just do 20mph so not to attract too much of the wrong attention. Same as in a car, the more throttle you give it, the faster it goes.

You could use those ebay ones, they just might be a bit big, as the are the same size as the ones that the controller has on it that the screen etc plugs into.

ADAPTTO Controllers - new functions discussion

Option to change Temperature to Celsius or Fahrenheit without having to change from miles to kilometers, I agree, this would be a good idea, as I want to see my speed in MPH, but here in the UK we measure temp in Celsius.

Its fine, I have a breaker on mine too, its rated for up to 600v AC or 80v DC , if you check some breakers they are rated for both, just check your countries most popular electronics websites, most have a filter you can select for Dc compatible breakers.

As far as motor temperature sensors go the kty81-121 is super accurate. I was using a kty81-210 before and it always read hotter than it actually was, but this one is bang on the money, it actually tells me the current room temp in here to +\- 1 degree.

Adaptto Max - E - BUS RX disconnect please check connection

By the way Xsys / Albert that bought his controller from you has the same problem apparently, its either caused by 1* plugging the display into the bms lead by mistake. 2* a broken wire or cable not done up properly. 3* pins in the back of the connector touching each other or shorted with...

Adaptto Max - E - BUS RX disconnect please check connection

So for anyone else with this problem test R60 and see if it gives a reading (multimeter in ohms / resistance mode), there is also a resistor inside the display too, just follow the trace from the rx input line to find it, this tested ok though. I just need to find the value of R60 now so I can...

Adaptto Max - E - BUS RX disconnect please check connection

I sent display + controller to be fixed, they replaced the housing on the display also. I have now diagnosed the problem, and the controller is alive again !. I tested resistor fuse R60 for the RX line with a multimeter and it showed as 'OL' which usually means its bad. So I soldered in a jumper...

Has anyone seen this error on the Adaptto Max-e controller before ?. I sent it away to be fixed after it got water damaged, they fixed it, I paid the bill, it arrives back and has just been sat in the box since June as I have waiting on Hobbyking to get in my Multistar batteries. So I get my...

Has anyone tried any of the different versions of the KTY81 sensor with the cromotor / adaptto max-e ?. I am just in the process of rebuilding the bike and am rebuilding the motor, fitting new bearings and also longer phase wires and sensor wires as I am moving the controller to the outside of...

All the people asking for a menu you can lock so the cops cant see that it has a boost mode, so you can well "well officer, look it only does 15mph", this wont help you when you go past them at 50mph not pedelling on the flat and they get you with the speed gun  , that like being stopped...

If you are getting !HALLS! after hard acceleration / regen this can be caused by emf generated in the phase wire transferring over to the phase sensor wires, the way I got round this as to use shielded cable on the phase sensor wires, you could also try wrapping the cable round a toroid bead if...

    Re Cabling Cromotor Cable

Its ok this stuff is literally identical spec to the stuff in the motor, I have cut a section from the end of the old cable and counted the strands, and then measured each strand with a micrometer and also the outer diameter and its literally identical, so should be fine. I don't want to add...

Hi, im going to re cable my Cromotor as I am moving my controller to a different part of the bike, so need a slightly longer run of cable, plus I need to open it up anyway to fix a problem with the temp sensor. I am trying to source for cable that is the same as the stuff that it comes with, but...

Remove the screws from the side of the case, these hold the internal heatsink / fets to the inside of the controller case, then drill holes in your heatsink, put heatsink paste or pads between the controller case and the heatsink. Go to a shop that sells screws / fastners and buy some slightly...

auto slime in bike inner tube tire

I find the car stuff works loads better, I know the stuff that comes already in tubes is complete crap as mates have gotten punctures with it before, but the car stuff put into tubes works wonders.
