Front hub motor cable inlet protection?

I need someting bigger that protects the cables from the u-turn and some 5 centimeters up on the fork. When the u-turn part is unprotected it gets snagged in.

Dead KT-LCD6 - how to fix?

Installed a KT-LCD6 on compatible kt-controller with 36V battery. Everything worked perfectly a couple of days. Then one morning the display did not start. Just dead. Never any error codes. No trauma. No visible water ingression. Swapped it for another kt-display which worked immediately and...

Pedalec died - broken controller, display or PAS?

And now when I measure V between GND and supposed +5V from the controller I get +1,6V and some stuttering motor movement - very strange?

Pedalec died - broken controller, display or PAS?

Phase wires are ok. And now I remember someting that might be of interest - When I touched the 4-pin JST-connection between display and controller the motor started for some seconds. As I recall it was a kind of slow movement, probably the walk-assist-mode (coded as >4,2V, I read somewhere)...

Pedalec died - broken controller, display or PAS?

I have no brake switches or trottle connected. A the PAS I have 5V between red and black. I think the intermittent volts are a bit lower (3-4V), but it can depend on the multimeters modus operandi I think. Still no luck. ;(

Pedalec died - broken controller, display or PAS?

My pedalec suddenly stopped! I now try to locate the problem. Is it the controller, the display or the PAS? Motor and battery are ok (tested with another setup). The controller is from V-fiets. Blinks red, which indicates that it is ok. The display is a 4 pinned led-display (+36, GND, 5V and...

Suggest hub motors for our cargo trike!

So disc brakes is better than roller brakes everyday? Even in the cold salted swedish winter? Yes. It is always the ring around the rollers, but actually not at the pin holes you mention. To weak for its own power. I've read many of the reports on Tongxin failiures.

Suggest hub motors for our cargo trike!

Thank you all soooo much for your help! Yes! You nailed it - we want reliability, not more power. It takes all the foodstuff or kids we load on it anywhere without strain. It feels balanced to the rest of the bike (brakes, geometry, wooden box etc). Are all front Chinese 24v 250w ok, or should...

We need two new hub motors for our cargo trike (bakfiets.nl, two front wheels). Our present ones are Tongxin (250w 120swx 24v 175rpm) with rollers as planetaries get broken all the time. Battery is 24v. 100 mm dropouts and need to fit im80 roller brakes. The controller is a black box, but can be...
