Testing the big 15 and 20Ah LiFePO4 cells is tough! *Pics*

Your so out of it:D You must be one of those rich little kids that your parents work hard to support your habits. Try working for it, and then you'll understand mypost. If you can afford $1000 worth of batteries, that's fine, YOU ARE THE MAN, all i was saying was that it's a bit to high for...

Testing the big 15 and 20Ah LiFePO4 cells is tough! *Pics*

I remember when you were so happy with your SLA's on your trike. My post is not towards people like you that have $500 to waste on lipo's before they know how to charge them   If they are so great (and i see you recommend them to everyone, they are even in your sig, why did you...

Testing the big 15 and 20Ah LiFePO4 cells is tough! *Pics*

I think the 15ah and 20ah a123 prismatics are better quality cells for $2.50 ah: are going to die out very soon. Even if they are great cells, most newbies and new comers to the forum (and some older ones) cannot afford that kind of a price for batteries, (if you read some posts, only the guys...

So are you saying that this bike at half throttle is the same as the trike at full ?

Turnigy HXT Powered Custom Cruiser Worklog

Hey Kim have you compared the info from your trike ?, like speed etc. because from that video (above) that doesn't look anywhere as fast or picks up speed as fast as your brushed 1000 watt motor on your trike. Maybe it's just the camera position, or it could just be me :D

    Stolen E-bike Registry

I haven't read most of the threads on here, but on trying to gather enough info on my next build (motor and battery wise) i decided to go through a lot of the threads, and came across this one. and i cannot understand how people with these kind of comments have many friends  Maybe your...

  I couldn't stop laughing for 10 minutes when i read that  :D and i still laugh every time i think about it :D How long were you stuck to the pole for ? :D Nice build Metallover, I'm going to order one of these 9c motors for one of my choppers, (haven't decided from...

LiPo battery care and basic information

Are you getting cells separately (a 3.7v cell) to wire them in parallel, or do you mean packs to wire in parallel. If you meant you are getting cells, where are you buying single cells ? I've seen single cells for sale, but they cost as much as a pack does.

Room for batteries... lots of room for batteries

Nice, I've always wanted to build a trike for my wife, the problem is the distance between the back wheels, (to get through doors) I have read (i think) all dogman's posts to see how he handles his, and what type of motor and batteries he uses. it's good to see another one of these being done...

    My first ebike conversion completed

Nice, and you still have room if you decide to add more batteries, i like the way you angled the box (instead of just making it a plain square box) makes it look nice.

LiPo battery care and basic information

Maybe i didn't explain myself right, and i would like to get more info before i blow my new batteries up :D What i want to do is get a 7S pack and a 6S pack and hook them up in series for my application. but i also want more amps, so the 7S pack will be paralleled with 2 other 7S packs to...

LiPo battery care and basic information

Sorry amberwolf, I must have been posting as you were posting :D Yah, i think charging to 4.0 or 4.1 would be best, but i still like the 7S and 6S idea better then 3x5S I know i'll have more power then i have now with my SLA's, as the lipo keep their voltage up better then then SLA's. You...

LiPo battery care and basic information

I found my answer, and for anyone else wondering the same thing, Yes you can always keep the balance connectors connected to the other packs, since the main pack wires are always connected also when paralleled, unless (of course) you want to balance each pack separately, which i don't see a need...

LiPo battery care and basic information

I must be missing something then, because at 13.5 or as you say 13.6 = 54.4v for sla's charged, and lipo 13"s charged (4.2v) would be 54.6, that's pretty even. 3x5's fully charged (4.2) would be 65v, discharging down to 3.0 volts 45.v (to be safe) would not work with my controller, one, because...

my new E bike newbie here.

Nice looking bike, I don't think you can do much with a 24 volt 200w motor to make it go faster. If you want to keep the same kind of setup, TNC Scooters --> http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/TNC-Scooters__W0QQ_sidZ132745856QQ_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em14?_pgn=2 now have again those type of motors at 450...

LiPo battery care and basic information

3 x 5S would be 55.5 volts (more then that when fully charged) I don't think my controller can handle that

LiPo battery care and basic information

I'm thinking of switching to lipo's, I do need to keep my 48 volts so i was thinking of getting a 5S and a 2S pack and hook them together to give me a 7S pack (25.9v) and then a 6S (22.2v) which then in series would give me a 48.1v pack, I want to get 3 in this configuration and parallel them so...

WAS: Some one tell me why I should not put a motor on this?

I agree, i like the position of the handlebars, i wonder how easy (or hard) it is to get around with that kind of steering. looks comfortable :D

Diamondback hardtail with ammo box LiPo

Nice job on that ammo box Gary, I would maybe add another ammo box to the other side, just to even things out, (even without batteries, Maybe just to carry other stuff) I think it would make the bike look better, (just a thought) Is that the Turnigy Accucel-8 150W 7A Balancer/Charger you have...

    E-Trike Project

By the way, I was saving money to buy the controller for my build, but saw an add for another Stingray bike with the 4 inch wheel so i bought that instead (before they come really ear) my controller will have to wait. I was thinking that if i get a few of these i can strip them and sell the...
