350 Watts Max, 4' Run: Is 10-Gauge Worthwhile?

Is is worth the time and trouble to replace the four feet of existing 16-gauge wire from battery to motor on my trike with 10-gauge if the motor is limited to 350 watts/7 amps?

52-volt battery, TSDZ2 motor.

It somewhat depends on the battery voltage. The current is what matters. Assuming the current limit is around 15A, 16ga will probably be OK. The difference in the losses won't make enough difference to notice. If the existing wire gets warm (or hot) after running full speed for a while, then you might consider it.
