Both motors specs are 48V 1000W but MY1020 Amps are about 6 higher. The MY1020 has a T8F sprocket and the ZY1020 has a #25 sprocket both 11 tooth. Can anyone tell me if the sprockets and motor shafts are the same diameter. Can you swap sprockets from one motor to the other? Are both motor shafts 12mm and tapered down to 10mm to fit the dual bevel sprockets? Thanks.

I don't believe they are the same shaft size one is 10mm the other is 8mm if you want to go faster shove a 36v motor on 48v check out my razor e3000 build.

Thanks for the heads up. Im so used to RC trucks and fpv mini quad racing, that I take for granted the endless combinations of pinion and spurs that you can use for those types of models. The only motor sprockets I could find are a 11 and 13 tooth for #25 sprockets. Im using a 48V 1000W system in the scooter. Almost bought a 48V 1600W Brushless system but got the 1000W motor and controller for under 95 US shipped. Runs great. The stock gearing was 11/70, swapped motor sprocket to a 13/70 for more top speed. Getting 15 mph on flat and 13 mph up severe hills off road in wet grass. Pretty awesome. Its a #25 chain and sprocket. Should have a 55T wheel sprocket by tomorrow. Im guessing that with the 13T should give me about 20-25 mph and still have decent torque off road and up hills. Im still using the 10 year old 8 inch street tires on it. Im very happy with the results so far. Im also 6'4 and 195 lbs. Motor temps are not even warm. I live in Maryland and have a lot of steep hills on road and off. Im using my lipo batteries from other RC and robotic projects. They are 2 6S 13A 35C lipos wired in series. As awesome as this is, I cant help but wonder how the brushless 1600W system would have done. Might buy that system for another scooter project.

in case anyone wants to know, the sprockets are interchangeable. I went from a #25 to a T8F sprocket without any problem. they are dual bevel and and fit both the My1020 and Zy1020 motors. so no need to buy a new motor if you just want to get a stronger sprocket and chain on your scooter, just make sure the sprockets you buy dual beveled.
