a different take on frame design?

I'll take 4 bar link rear suspension every time. That one will pedal bob. It's actually old school, single pivot and a shock on the other end. Changing the pivot won't help it, it will have lots of pedal bob.

Not much different there... poor design is all too common.

Designers all too often create something different just for the sake of being different rather than there actually being a purpose or benefit, this is definitely in that catorgory, it will certainly be alongside the worst performing suspension systems that is fitted to any bicycle. Suspension pivoting below the upper chain run will cause the suspension to be pulled up when the chain is under tension, add this to the weight being applied downward on the pedals while they are driving and you have 2 different forces both contributing to "bob" or squating at the rear, and thats before we go into linear spring and damping rates, awfull design.

Not to mention the possibility of getting your strawberry rucksack trapped in the spring!!

I think there was a missunderstanding, what they really said was the designer deserves 9 of the best! not is one of the 9 best.

Simon.
