I designed a second bar mount for mounting the bike computer and key switch. I used the center screw on an Ahead headset, this won't work on a standard headset. Just throwing ideas out there

Cool.

I have a similar problem with all the instrumentation taking up the available handlebar space.

What's the strap thing that holds the bar?

I suppose if you could get or make a metal clamp that held two bars at the right distance, it would be pretty universal.

The clamp was used to hold Shimano shifter pods in the day when people wanted to separate the shifter from the brake lever and use aftermarket levers.

This was something I designed back in the 89 thru 95 time frame along with a lot of other light weight mountain bike components Had a real company doing this stuff until Shimano crushed me like a fly through questionable business practices. The only real survivors of the early mountain bike years was Sram and Avid and Avid sold out to the Tiwan's

For historical reference I keep a Web page alive

http://www.geocities.com/technogenbike/

you can still find people buying and selling the lever on Ebay

Anyway I have 50 or so plastic version of the clamp made by Magua

it may require modification like drilling out the center hole to the right diameter for the bolt and you'll need a long enough bolt. Also you'll have to come up with your own bar. So if your looking for the clamp for next to nothing PM me.

I also counter bored the plastic cap that came with the stem so as to get a nice recessed fit.

Hey its a hobby thats saving me money on gas

Wow, trés beaut!
I'm blown away.
Thanx for that awesome link!!

The main reason for my getting an ebike was to make the slush run to the local slurpee shack.
Yes, that self-levelling cupholder just a tad larger mounted on the stem would do nicely.
Then I'll be able to slurp with confidence while keeping both hands on the bars.
The vidcam & PDA mounts are tasty as well.
In fact that ball swivel setup is a cure all for a lot of ills.
They have a flexarm, a triple ball holder, anything you can imagine & then some.

It's like something that's been taken from a future world filled with jet-packs & conveyor sidewalks. :)

I love it!

Hmm... I wonder if that would work for a camcorder mount?

That's cool.

I think a crossbow mounted on my handlebars might be handy
It would give my scooter the "Mad Max" look. I wonder if I could take out a Hummer with one?
