Hello,
Does anybody have experience with TMM4 torque sensor or similar? http://www.idbike.com/index.php/sensors
It could be challenge to use it with Bafang BBS instead of throttle.
Thanks.

I don't think there's a torque sensor which can be paired with the the Bafang BBS, bacause the torque would have to be measured at the bottom bracket.

The TMM4 measures torque applied to the drive train, and would create a positive feedback loop with power being applied by the motor.

Ah, yes, you are right, motor will measure itself. So only way, without modifying bottom bracket, is installing pedal torque sensors?
Or could be there another way?
Thanks

I'm afraid that the options are limited, or non-existent. We know that Bafang has this technology available, because they provide a torque sensor in their MAX mid drive system. It just a question of if/when they may decide to make this feature available to the aftermarket.
