Temperature gauge, Temperature Monitor, Digital thermometer, Thermal readers what ever you want to call them, I would like to buy one. I did some searches here with not much help.

--- What temperature range should i be looking for in one of these devices?

--- Is there a one out there with multiple sensors? (motor, controller, and battery)

--- I have an old meat thermometer with a wide temperature range -58F(-50C)-572F(300C), cant I just slap that on my bike and wire the display up to the handlebars ?

Any help is appreciated even directing me to a thread i could not find.

i think the way things are going these days you want a cycle analyst V3 with some type of thermistor (i cant provide the spec for this). then you can program the thing to scale back current automatically keep your heat within adjustable limits. See the CA v3 beta thread for details on that. Thermister goes right into the windings somewhere. Justins threads on motor cooling effectivmness may have the details about the thermister

A Cycle analyst is on my list of "things I must buy"! But a new battery is just before it, and I'm still working on the spare cash for that.
