Best way to wire a ampmeter

Hi everyone.

I picked up an amp meter on eBay so I can start doing some tweaking to my ride.

I emailed the seller and he sent me these:

Does anyone have any suggestions as to which one I should use? I am thinking to try diagram # 2.

Only #1 addresses a BLDC motor/controller so...
Use #1 and wire the meter (+) supply lead to the red (+5V) lead from the controller throttle connector (in the illustration, the red wire that runs along the top and down to the controller).

Agreed, use chart one.
