BionX battery with non-bionx motor

Has anyone tried using a BionX battery with a different motor? I'm just wondering about my future options.

I'm planning to do just exactly that. I picked up a supposedly broken G1 bionx off craigslist just for fun. It turned out the connection wires were twisted, so on replacing the connectors, I got the thing running just fine. However the motor itself does not suit my need. The battery on the other hand seems fine, and it came with the charger. So I plan to tap the battery +/- inside the shell for power and leave the other connection intact for the charging circuit. This will method will bypass the BMS during motor use.
