BionX Charger Info?

A broke young student here was gifted a BionX system that didn't come with a charger. They want $125 for a new charger The battery is dead, no idea how long, and he wants to try and charge it up to see if it has any life. Is there something that would work instead? I have a 5 amp charger for my LiFoPO4 battery but not sure what the chemistry of his is so not wanting to mate them up.

Need to know the voltage and chemistry of the Pack. I can tell you that if its NIMH only bionx chargers will work.

Why was he gifted a bionx ebike system with no charger?
this is sometimes suspected of possibly mischief, even theft.

send me a message off line and I will see about the correct charger.

but need the battery chem, voltage, model and ser. # if you can. hard or soft pack?

Thanks DD. Will do and that thought crossed my mind also and was going to check in to it when I get together with the guy. He had an ad on the local Craig's list and I haven't heard back from him yet about the particulars, will pm you when I do.
