Clear Umbrella as aero dynmaic windsheild

Has anyone here had experience using an umbrella in 30mph wind?

Thinking of mounting one to the front of my KMX at the angle of the front boom (15 deg or so).

this one seems to have a smaller diameter than normal umbrellas:

Interesting. The price is right.

If the lid off a Rubbermaid trash bin makes a noticeable improvement, the umbrella should be better.

Just watch for those side-gusts. Brellas suck with anything but dead-on.

:lol: You guys are too much. However the umbrella idea seems practicle indeed, if you have a front fender you will have extra support where you need it to get as close to the wheel as possible without rubbing.

ouch... that Trek was looking sweet before the RM lid.. yikes..

I don't care how much that improves performance.. the looks totally negate the benefits. Might be a personal viewpoint thing tho.
