Question, I have an imax s1 electric scooter which uses a 4 pin XLR style charging connector. Picture here: http://imgur.com/a/a3sxO I was looking at the Grin Cycle Satiator charger which outputs to a 3 pin XLR and wondering if it would be posible to adapt to a 4 pin?

Related question: what does the 4th pin do for charging purposes? The motor controller diagram does show 4 wires connecting the battery to the controller, not sure if the same 4 would be used to communicate with the charger? https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0908/0796/files/S1_Connection_Diagram.pdf?13962370468051691770

You'll need to measure what the existing charger does on those wires, then you can wire up a 3-4 pin adapter to use any other charger that can do the same thing.

As long as there is no communication from your vehicle to the charger, and it only uses two of the pins, for voltage output into the vehicle, then this is easy. If it has a temperature sensor (thermistor), then that can also work with the Satiator.

If it requires some form of digital communication over the other wires, then you may only be able to use the original charger. (this is not very likely).

Okay that's what I figured. Should I just test the 2 unknown pins with a voltmeter?
