I heard that around this Fall (2009) eZee bikes will offer:
  • Batteries with more energy capacity, using the same casing (making them usable on existing ebike models).
  • Options for carrying more than one battery (maybe new ebike model).

Let's wait and see what happens.

eZee bikes are BY FAR the best e-bikes out there, any improvement in their battery technology will make them unbeatable.
Too bad their website does reflect the quality of their products.
How did you hear about these coming improvements and options ?
Thanks

Renaissance Bike Co sells the eZee kits and will upgrade to the new batteries for $200 to upgrade Battery to 14Ah Polymer pack for longer range and 40% more capacity and $100 to to upgrade Battery to 8.5Ah LiFePO4 pack with carrier rack for longer cycle life (hopefully).

I don't know who sells only the battery.

Recently I've seen this bike, which seems to share parts with Ezee:

Notice that it uses what appears to be (both in the images at the above web site and in person) the identical battery case as an EZee, but 36V 14Ah

They have it where I bought my Ezee, Electric Vehicles Northwest in Seattle (Ballard area). If it were time for me to replace the battery for my Ezee Forza, this is what I'd be shopping for today.
