Believe me, I do not dismiss forecasting, I just want to remind that we were warned about over one hundred of our last five crises. Complete readiness for everything we're warned of possibilities for prices that out of the market.

AIDs doesnt kill you, but it does take away your bodies' ability to fight off diseases.
AIDS was discovered because they were trying to figure out why there were such outbreaks of obscure, opportunistic maladies as Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. My father didn't die of his cancer, he died of the cancer treatment. My oldest brother declined the same sort of treatment about the same age and outlived our father, in fact he went back to racing, etc.
But this is true with so many things, they give you antibiotics more to prevent secondary infections than for the initial infection. This hasn't really come up in the Corona discussion that I've seen. But I get really bad spring hayfever, which almost kills me from time to time when I catch what's going around. This year, the hayfever is barely there. What a relief.
And there's nothing unscientific about what you said on smoking, you know it's already been proven.
