Hi

I'm planning on a project and I got the Roboteq dual motor controller. 60v 75amp each motor
But it turned out works only with hall sensor motors.

So I would like some help on how to setup hall sensors in a outrunner.
I got the e0design hall sensor adapter but their is no data on them. I sent them a message but still no reply.

Can't I place them internally? If how to?
I have rimfire 160kv and scorpion 250kv

The breakout board of Roboteq has "grd, +5,A,B,C"

I need 3 sensors, 1 must be between 2 magnets and the other 2 exactly on magnets. Right?

I saw http://alienpowersystem.com/product-category/brushless-motors/80mm/
Did any1 try these motors ?

Btw is it possible to run a hall sensored outrunner dipped in thin oil?
Thank you

If you search this subforum there is a thread on how to add hall sensors to outrunners.

If you look in the ebike technical subforum there are a number of threads on cooling motors, including oil/liquid cooling.

Is this right? I use dermal to make space for the hall sensor.

Make sure you don't short across the laminations when you make your slots.

For the halls, I don't know exactly what angle and placement your controller and motor combination will require.

I controller support 120 and 60 degree angles.

The pic I posted is the 60 degree angle right?
If I used the 60 degrees I need to make the middle sensor facing the opposite side of the 2 sensor right?
