Installing Led display

Hi all, ive had my bike running with just the throttle for some time now and decided I want to add PAS.

My friend had an extra LED display and its the generic style led display.

The only thing is,

my controller is this type and it doesn't have any extra plugs for the display. Do I just wire it into the throttle control?

Haha I submitted it and immediately regretted not cleaning my finger nails , I think they should be smaller now.
