So after reading all there is to read on this forum and others and looking at different battery suppliers, I still can.t figure out who to buy a Lithium Polymer Battery from and if they are really available for E bike.

I'm looking for a 36 volt 12 to 15Ah battery

If Lithium Polymer Battery batteries aren't ready for prime time (for a engineer) then nickel metal is the way to go I guess. Just want to shed the weight of the lead acid I'm now using.

PowerrideStore seems to have the best value in NiMH 36 volts 13Ah for 349.00

Any help would be greatly appreciated

PS price does matter

Thanks
Mark

Lithium polymer is ready for serious ebike applications. This 37V 15AH choice is probably the best tested so far:

Knoxie here knows a lot about these and a couple other li-poly options.

If careful and up to lots of research, you could also save money and DIY a pack from loose cells.... I built my 33ah 80 volt lithium ion pack for about $1000.

I have 2 x 36v 20ah packs in the mail ( Shipped from Florida on tuesday ! ) from http://www.forsenusa.com I have not tested them yet so i canot give any good/bad at this time.. But i recall a guy on the Power-Assist groups by the name of BocaBikeguy who does lab testing of many lipo packs and he personally used these packs and loved them.

Remains to be seen for myself.
