It cracks me up. Four out of the first 10 threads on this forum are about friction drive. I never thought I would see that day. What's the world coming to?

Simplicity. Friction drive is the essence of simplicity for anyone looking for the light weight goodness of a non-hub system.

I am really loving the friction drives. They are truely the lowest weight possible in an electric system currently available.

And I think there is plenty more to come. The breed is maturing into something that now has a much broader appeal.

Agreed , but we really need some good , low KV , sensored, motors, that dont need babying at low speed !
( pass the soldering iron and Hall sensors :? )
