Ok, I need help. I am making a build list.

Bike

Motor

http://em3ev.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=36&product_id=138

Battery

http://em3ev.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=35&product_id=105

what else would I need or should I change anything?

Charger. EM3 offers chargers but I can source a 43.8V 8A charger for under $100. PM me for details.
Torque arms, rim strips, and upgraded tires are a good investment.

do you have links for them? also what are the best options on the bike kit on EM3?

THe chargers are from my supplier i contact myself to have shiped to your door via DHL. I accept paypal with fees paid and can send your email an invoice so you don't have to make an account. PM your address to receive a quote. Same quality and possibly brand as High-Power cycles.

He mentions his 600W bulk charger, i'd set you up with a 400W, set for 43.8V 8A.

you might wanna consider cheaper battery options too since you are new.

depending on where you live you may find a hubmotor or ebike on CL too. i can sell you chargers for cheap too.

you can see if the bidding has progressed on the battery at the end of this, and you need to include the cost of air freight when you compare prices for batteries as illustrated here:

and this one has free shipping:

It looks like you have a good basic start on things so far. Em3ev.com is a good vendor to go with and getting all your parts from one place will simplfy things.

Recomending options can be difficult without knowing what you need from the bike. For example, if you live in San Fransisco, and want to haul bricks up steep hills all day, you would need something totaly diffrent from someone who lives in Kansas and wants to lazily ride the 2 miles down their super flat driveway to the mailbox.

I'd change everything.
Please go to the User Control Panel, select Profile, and then enter your city, state/province, and country into the Location field (country minimum) and save it. This will help people help you. Example: Wylie, TX, USA. Without knowing what country you are in it's hard to make any recommendations. Thank you.

Man this doesn't get old.... It's like 3-4 times a week. Sometimes in the for sale section or newbies asking questions about their future setups. Kudos for keeping up with it wesnewell!

migueralliart also has a battery for sale for $200 too, and i could sell you the BMS and charger for another $100 so you would have a reasonable battery for $300. the bike you are looking at is aluminum frame, and you don't need 21 speeds. you need only two. slow and fast.

people here regularly sell bikes and motors so you could buy one from someone here too. neptronix just sold a nice bike for $60-70 that woulda been a deal.

so you could be getting started for 1/2 the money you are looking to spend now.

then if you decide you need 250A from an A123 pack you can upgrade to the power that those batteries provide. the 5C pack that ML is offering would be more than enuff for most people.
