Should we be more active here in supporting our own?

If I could take a quick tangent from another thread here Should knowledge from here be freely used for profit?, I'd like to have a thread/place/whatever which would list the members of these forums who are dealers/manufacturers of E-vehicles, associated stuff, or services (only those who want to be listed, and only posts by them) and where they are located. This way we could help them on their way to profitability, or more of it. They certainly have helped me on my way to enjoyment. Seems to me like we would all profit from this, as well as would the EV "movement" itself.

This forum seems to be overwhelmingly populated by people who know their stuff (or want to learn their stuff) and are scrupulously honest about it. They also are scrupulously honest about what they think about others' statements and have real discussions about real facts without turning into flame wars.

I know the marketplace does some of that, but only for "special circumstances," as it is used now.

What do you all think?

(Moderators/Administrators, if this has been discussed before and overwhelmingly voted down, or if the idea is against ES rules, feel free to delete this thread at your disgression. I guess you would, anyway :wink: .)

Yep, but try to find anything in there, and most discussion about vendors actually occurs in other threads. Mostly one-off comments about a particular transaction which may then extend into a discussion which is only tangentially connected. What I was asking about was more of a directory, to see what who was up to. Then, if you wanted to discuss particulars, the above threads could be useful, with a link to the "directory thread," for contact info.
