After a long, 800+ mile relocate, I'm just now beginning to see the bottom of my tool piles again. This build (quite possibility my last), is desperately needed as I'm seriously pondering car-free status. Winter here and that typically means snow, so this attempted resurrection will likely have unpredictable disruptions.

The subject pictured below is an early Sun USX - an ill-designed, 65lb turd. But surprisingly... wears a robust, overbuilt rear axle assembly w/20mm axles.

The discard pile, and expected to grow....

Modified Rear - Eliminated camber and increased width slightly - approx 12 lbs removed - snowing interrupted welding:(

Received my differential. Weighs 470g. employs 20mm axles (same as my project Delta), sprocket mount on one side - ISO 1.375" x 24 tpi threading on the other. It's well sealed unit that is typically lubed with synthetic 30w. As expected, the internal machining is excellent, and it is chuck full of precision ball and thrust bearings, and external axle seals.

I was initially planning to use the Hase/Samagaga differential (below), but the new arrival is physically better suited and requires less axle modifications. That said, I'll likely sell it.
