The invention, formally known as the ‘Cyclee,’ comes from Azerbaijani designer Elnur Babayev. The Cyclee device works by projecting different images of street signals on cyclists’ back according to his or her current actions. All of the signals can be modified using a mobile device.

Swelter no more in the summer heat only to shiver once you enter a store blasting its AC. The new ClimaWare line of clothing by India’s Dhama Innovations keeps you comfy no matter what the thermometer says. Designed to flip from 0 to 100 degrees Celsius at the push of a button, the clothing and accessories feature eight levels of heating and cooling to cope with unpredictable weather, extreme temperatures, and hostile environments.

In order to fully adopt an electric-hybrid bike commuting program, though, you need a system. You need the proper gear and apparel that make it safe, sustainable, comfortable, and even fashionable. In addition to the bike itself, the following gear is my system for five-days-a-week bike commuting on the West Side of L.A.

Leatherman’s wrist-top multi-tool.
The Tread incorporates 29 tools into 10 stainless steel links. Each link includes two or three tools. This wearable multi-tool is not necessarily cycling-specific, but it does incorporate a number of tools useful to cyclists, such as metric hex wrenches and flat and Philips screwdrivers – and the clasp doubles as a bottle opener.
