TSDZ2: Installation of heat sensing?

My understanding is that TSDZ2's firmware (with OSF?) allows for automagically cutting back on amps when a preset temperature is exceeded, but that there is no built-in temperature-sensing hardware.

True dat?

If so, can anybody point me to a cookbook for installing said hardware?

Yes. You need to install the sensor by yourself and use an open source firmware.
