I remembered previously that higher KV motors over 200kv weren't recommended for VESC usage..

Anyone happen to remember the actual reason? I tend to enjoy the higher KV motors and don't see no personal advantage to the 200kv motors.

correct @mccloed, you can't go over 200kv for 12s only.

10s or lower and you'll be fine

Thanks guys.. You remember the reason behind why? Was it based of the recommended RPM range 8.6k range? http://vedder.se/2014/10/chosing-the-right-bldc-motor-and-battery-setup-for-an-electric-skateboard/

I do like the higher KV..

the commutation speed is at its limit. Only so fast possible. With higher kv and higher voltage at top speed too fast each second. Maybe you could do it 12s and higher kv if you went slowly.
