Hi, Im looking for some help. I Have a Bieste E Bike its 46V @750W and has and S8666 display and a Vicont Controller. Today the display is showing an 09 error code which says its a controller fault, so I'm looking to find a replacement controller but no matter where i look i cant find a Vicout Controller.
The information on the controller is as follows:
Voltage:48V
Current Value: 25+/-1A
Angle: 120
undervoltage:39V
Function: Booster
Brakes: low level.
The controller has three phase wires to the motor, power in, 5pin lcd display connector, throttle connector, six pin hall sensor connector, two two pin brake connectors along with another three pin connector and a Y lead with two three pin connectors on it ( Not Shure what the additional three pin and y lead connectors are for I'm assuming front light and horn?)
My Question is does anyone know where to get a replacement or suitable alternative to get my bike up and running again.
Thanks

I’ve never seen an S8666 display, but the S866 display is compatible with controllers made by “DC MOTO CONTROLLERBYLITHIUMBATTERY”.

What was happening before/during the error? Was there a crash or damage, etc.?

Was cycling along fine, stopped, went to ride off and got the error code 09 and zero power.
Checked the controller and I appear to have a shorted MOSFET in the controller

Probably defective. They don’t usually fry themselves under regular riding conditions; but hotrodding around or climbing a long hills could sometimes overheat them. Is the unit enclosed?
Sounds like you’ll need to replace both the controller and display.

Yeh that's wat I thought I was in full throttle unrestricted mode just before it failed.
Any recommendations on a replacement controller and display

Hi Maverick440.
Just wondering if you got anywhere with the Vicont Controller for your Beiste?
I’ve got the exact same bike and same problem. Struggling to find a matching controller.
I did find a 1000W 48V controller which seemed to match up apart from the watt but the seller said it wasn’t compatible but i’m not sure why not.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Hi Hoppy, In short No, i did find a controller and display unit on AliExpress, physically bigger in size so would have to be externally mounted. any way it arrived yesterday and some of the plugs were different namely the pedal sensor was a socket not a plug.
Fitted it, it all powered up but showed a throttle error, and now even if i disconnect everything bar the power it still shows a throttle error. I did manage to find the manufacturer in China of the controllers but again no luck.
I've been in touch with the UK supplier of the bike Dastrad, who says he might be able to sort me one out but he wont know till Friday, ill keep you posted.

Ok so Im now back up and running, the Bieste Bike importer is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard when it comes to faults, so a big thank you to Valeriu at E-bike Solutions, he recommended the following:

You replace the digital display and throw away the light / horn and switch witch is no big issue, you have to change the power plug on the controller to suite the Deans connector on the bike, the throttle and PAS sensor wires need swapping around in the plugs and a male to male adaptor lead need making for the PAS sensor (i used some of the old leads from the original controller for this.

Once that's done you have throttle control all of the time, and once you change the PAS sensor setting in the C section of the display from 2 to 7 it all works fine. sounds complicated but there's a good video on YouTube for programming the controller:

The controller is physically to big to go back into the frame so im just in the process of 3D printing a housing for it that will mount to the crank downtube on the left hand side of the bike, so hopefully by weekend it will all be finished
