Need one for my electric fatbike for night riding.

Something powerful, but not to expensive , but reliable that uses AA batteries mounted inside the light itself { not a seperate battery case hooked to the light via a cable } .

Also would like a rear light with the same parameters....would like to spend less then $30 if possible.

Have you thought about 18650 instead of AA? Most powerful bike lights use 18650 batteries for the higher power density and use with XML T6 / U2 / whatever cree light available. Easily under $20 for a front headlight.

You can get Cree flashlights that has an adapter for 3 AAA batteries, but they suck compared to a motorcycle light you can hook up to your battery pack and not screw with batteries again.

Oh, I bought a few of these a while back. They work fine but I haven't installed any of them yet. I won't be riding at night until it gets hotter here.

hey..thanks for the ebay link to the solar powered tail lights.

I ordered 3 of them...1 for the back...and 1 for each side....

that will give 3 seperate flashers on the bike....now I just need to find a decent headlight that uses AA batteries . Im sure they exist.

The ebike has power for lights, no need to use AA batteries, other than the small flashlight in the tool kit.

This headlight is 22$, takes 12 ~ 85V. Wire in series with any 12v red tail light, and a toggle switch on your handlebar.
