What are your thoughts on this kit

http://www.yescomusa.com/26in-Front-Electric-Bicycle-Motor-Conversion-Kit-48v-1000w.html

Stumbled upon it reading the MXUS3000 thread, needing 150mm rear dropouts. The thing I dont get is they dont list the motors name, I repeatedly run into that on ebay as well.

I don't know about that particular kit, but I have been running a Yescomusa 36v 800w front hub motor for over 4500 miles now and it has been robust and reliant. I have run it hard. I have run it hot. I have crashed it. It has been a rock steady. Others who have Yescomusa kits have had similar experiences.

Just know that if you use steel non suspension forks the bike will hard on your body and if you use suspension alloy forks, you will need to deepen the dropouts by about 2mm, and use torque arms on both sides in case the dropouts crack open.

:D

Well I guess what I am wondering after I did the search, which I should have done first, was how is this kit compared to the bms battery Q11 kit, because I was already to purchase the Q11.
I do have an aluminum 135mm rear dropout, so my interest in the mxus3k was torn to shreads knowing a 150mm was needed.

Thats the thread I am reading now.

With an aluminum 135mm dropout, you will probably have to pry the the rear frame open to fit a Yescomusa motor in there. It will be tight. Might even need to file he dropouts deeper to center the axle. It is easier with a chromolly frame.

Read several threads about their kits and haven't seen anything negative. I purchased a kit and was amazed by the apparent quality of all the components (especially after the junk in the Dillenger kit I am currently not using since it crapped out on me after two weeks). I haven't started to assemble the YES kit since I'm awaiting the frame. By the way, check around on ebay; they have that kit (from one of YES's aliases) for $260 delivered, with a $10 discount.

That's the old model kit. This is the newer model, which afaik fits in 135mm dropouts without a problem.

I've got about 15K miles on my old style motor.

Hi I just bought a 9c clone off Ebay for 140.00 US (motor laced in rim), They have both rear and front kits available also. Seller is Ebikeling. The other Ebay motors seem to be Mag Pie style (Goldenmotors)

Problemo, buddy doesnt ship to Canada. I was already to ditch the bmsb q11 buy for american purchase, but now going to buy the aliexpress mxus 3000w. Will start another thread on my newbie questions on that.

Thanks for your replies.

Ebikeling does ship to Canada. They are in Chicago area. I paid 75.00 US to ship to Ottawa, Ont. I was lucky there was no duty/GST shipped by USPS
