Just wanted to bump this and say that I'm open to a bit of a haggle.
I've also got a shed load (probably around 400) of reclaimed18650 cells that are capacity tested and individually labeled for anyone looking to build a powerwall. Oh and I've got Tesla module from a 75kWh model S for a...
Hi, sadly time to sell my bike. Based on a Medium Specialized BigHit with modified rear stays and built for dune riding out near me in North Devon, UK. It uses 80 x 18650 cells, Samsung INR18650-30Q 3000mAh - 15A. If memory serves I did the pack as 4p 20s. The top box, set back from the headset...
Thanks for the advice on the battery front. I'm sort of nervous about making up a 18650 pack myself. I had a play around with repairing a Makita drill battery and it all got a bit smokey, and that was just 10 cells this pack would be around 100. I really like the look of Grin Techs LIGO packs...
So I thought I should share my latest bike build, especially as I've been a long time stalker of various threads without actually contributing very much, apologies and thank yous all round.
I actually pretty well finished it last year a part from a bit of fine tuning of the gear ratios. I took...
ooof, sounds a bit above my pay grade...
Guess I'm happier with the fabrication side of things than the clever stuff.
Thanks for your input though, never hurts to put something out there!
Hi, I've done a bity of a search but couldn't find anything.
Just wondering if any one out there has tried changing the screen of a CA to one that could be read in portrait orientation? I'm keen to keep the handlebars as clean as possible on my new build and would like to set the CA into the...
Don't know how helpfully this is but. My brother got his gng mounted on his Specialized Big Hit which has a 73mm bb. He got in touch with ES member Lightening Rods who builds custom brackets for gng kits. Maybe worth PMing him for a bit of advice?
Hope that helps.
Perhaps we should just start with a meet that's open to anyone and everyone. We could all just go for a ride and head for a pub somewhere after. I'd be interested in seeing things like Stealth Bombers as much as the self build stuff and just finding people to ride with. Once we've all got a...
Hi Jack rabbit. I think that sounds like a great idea. Maybe we could think about getting a route set up out my way on Exmoor? Like you say, 10 -15 miles ride with a pub stop at the end for chatting about all things e-bike?
The photo is taken of the burnt out resistor but the epoxy getting on the board was over at the end of the board next to where the main positive wire is soldered on and there was no damage to the board there. So the damaged resistor is still on the board but can't be read due to the heat damage...
Thanks John, I've done the motor tests as you suggested and it all looks alright I think.
I've also opened up the controller just to check the routing of the extended wires to the on/off switch. Where I'd glued a plastic plate over the old hole of the switch in the end plate I discovered some...
Well, it's a 74v pack so it is a bit over but I thought within acceptable limits?
So do you think this means that problem is probably controller related? I guess I'd rather open that up than the motor at least.
Thanks for the advice, this stuff isn't easy for a carpenter!
yep, just checked the testers against my PSU and I'm getting 7.1v between red and black and 7.8v between black and any of the other three wires if I turn the wheel in approximately quarter/third turns. The two wires read at around 0.03 mV when the other reads at 7.8v.
