I think i found the answer,i can do either but cassette is better option.

Looking at hub motors for my Mongoose Malus fat bike There's something i am unsure of.Am i better off buying a a motor with Cassette or thread on freewheel?

Can someone help me? I think i messed up,i was planning to build my bike i just bought today(Mongoose Malus fat)With a qs205.But now i realize it looks like the qs205 only comes in 150mm dropout...

Kinda bummed i think i messeed up.I was wanting to use the qs205 but aparently that only comes in 150mm. 35mm would be a lot to try and spread the frame i think :( Am i looking at this the right way? Or should i just spread the dropouts that 35mm?

I Wasn't thinking about the washers on the inside,thinking now 170mm may be the better option

The Mongoose Malus i just bought has a rear dropout spacing of 185mm,is it better to spacer the motor or spread the frame a little? I see 170 and 190mm 3000w hub motors on Aliexpress at 170 and 190mm. I would think spreading 5mm would be the most logical option.

I decided to get a Mongoose Malus fat bike and I'm picking it up this afternoon.Should be fine i think with a steel frame,disc brakes and a bigger triangle.

I'm looking to buy a bike for a qs205 conversion,trying to not spend over 300 for the bike itself.What do you guys think would a 72v triangle battery fit in this one? Or I'm open to suggestions as well,was also thinking about using a hardtail fat bike but was really hoping for full suspension...
