New BMS mounted.
I went with the Speedict 15S.
I am also working on building two more batteries.
One will be 37AH using cells from 2018 model E-Golf.
This one will be slightly heavier than the oem one but much better range an also less voltage sag.
The other one i think i will make an light...
I did open the BMS and several component are burned.
The previous owner messed up somehow and connected reverse polarity or something.
And no, the BMS is completely dead will not allow charge or balance.
The connectors from "buttom and upper link" and the RS232 was not in use.
So its very...
Here is also an picture of the bike.
The battery modules is held together with 30+ rivets that has to be drilled out to open the battery.
I installed M4 rivet nuts instead, making it more easy to access the battery later on.
I bought an second hand Electric Motion 5.7 from really cheap with an broken "battery module".
The previous owner opened the battery and somehow managed to damage the BMS.
Then he contacted electric motion and got an offer for an new battery for 4000 pound.. The BMS can not be sold desperately...
My application is for an 13S Lithium Ion with 10A charge and 200A peak discharge.
Instead of using the "controller output" on the Neptune 15 directly to the controller, can use this output to control an relay instead?
I understand i will not be getting current readings this way but that is less...
The rear suspension is now perfect..
This winter i will take apart the front suspention and try to find some softer springs to fit.. the front is way to stiff.
Yes, its quick ;)
Pushing 90+ km/h and it gets there very fast.
Quite happy about it.
I also ordered an new rear damper for it, should arrive sometime next week.
Finding the manual for how to program the GPS-Pulse sender was not easy but i got the seller on eBay to send it to me.
Here its described, and it works from 2.500 to 20 000 pulses pr km.
Just want to make an update on the Chinese GPS-Pulse sender i mentioned in one of the previous post. (post 15)
It arrived and it was really easy to install and works well!
By default it comes as 5000 pulses pr km but at this setting it showed almost half the speed.
After calibrating it now...
I broke my arm doing electric skateboard in July so i have not really been able to ride the scooter a lot.
Today I took the scooter to work for the first time.
Its an 20 km distance and its mostly 70 km/h speed limit all the way.
Doing average 70-80 km/h the moped used only 11 AH of the 50 AH...
Thanks, but are you sure this can not damage the Hall sensors inside the hub, or even the hall sensor inputs of the controller?
Not sure i want to risk it.
Thanks.
I measured the voltage on the "speed (11)" wire and it gives out 5V.
If i repeatedly short to ground the needle moves up a little. Fastest i can do by hand is moving the needle to 5 km/h.
But at-least I know what kind of signal i need.
I also connected the brake and boost wire from the...
