luna cycle battery also failed after 30 cycles- upon inspection they tried to spot weld through three tabs. this connection fell apart and the battery is useless. My 3 stage charger also failed. luna responded back about my ludicrous upgrade that the output on the display is only 1/2 what...
I too have had problems with luna. I paid 250 extra for a higher amp bbshd and they sent the stock controller. Never got a refund. Nothing. Just a case number. These guys are bad. Really bad. Maybe criminal.
Nice mods fecher. I too have been running a a2b with a ping 48v 20ah battery strapped on the rear rack. I have put about 2000 mi on without a problem. But i agree, a controller upgrade is in order. The thermistor in my wheel overheats while climbing hills and i have spent much time at...
I have four ping 48v 20ah batteries. I have used them all on 9c 2807 motors. Im using ebike.ca 40 amp conrollers. This seems to be the perfect setup for me, @ 28 mph, with pretty strong acceleration. I had a problem with one after a year, i sent it to sandiego electric bike, they to care...
Saw this video of the pinnacle of e bikes. See last minute for 15% climb and footage of bike. 5305 at 72v ? 75 amp controller? What do you guys think?

wow- nice job ! how do you compare the chain drives to direct drive ? is the performance similar ? where did you get the freewheel cranks ? thanks
i tried my a2b again with 48volts. its a madman. but the stock controller will shutoff when climbing really steep stuff. im not sure why- (its not warm to the touch) i managed a a few 30 mi trips without a hitch but it was bike paths. i just fed the juice into the relay duct taped the battery...
i have a a2b- and thought i would add my 2 cents. i bought it on ebay- it was really beat up. but its no stepchild. i love the thing. anyhow i tried 48v 20 ah on the rear rack- foxx power lithium . it really made the a2b come alive. its in the scooter catagory with this setup. my "mans...

doesnt look like a walmart bike with a blender motor taped on it built for a high school science fair.
from the videos it seems quiet- (no drama)

the learning curve is a bit steep for an e novice. you folks are smarter than i will ever be. i need help from you folks listing the best parts for a bike build- my goal to get performance setup to 75% as good as the stealth e mountain bikes. http://www.stealthelectricbikes.com.au. those...
sorry my discription was poor - the bike has 2 batteries- a couple relays, and a circuit board where the brake disconect charger port on off switch all converge. its a mess. what leaves this black box is 4 small wires and a large red and black. these 6 wires all pass thru the axle into the...
