Today I learned that balancers are a thing. And while a bms is also a balancer, a balancer is not a bms.
And actually what I want is a balancer and that has made my search so much easier! Thank you all!
I'm building a 88.2v 180ah battery, I plan to charge at 80a.
Im a bit unfamiliar with balancing current but it seems having something high would be good.
Can I use this 5a bms https://a.co/d/0lotCz5 and then get another bms hooked up in parallel that has Bluetooth to monitor cell voltage...
I can keep most cells flat but some of them will have to be up on end. I'll have to stick to the neoprene foam spacer for to space but I'll definitely ensure the load doesn't go through the tab itself....maybe double sided tape them on the battery wall? Feel like that could damage the pouch...

I'm adding cells to am existing battery so I'm matching existing cells and I have a size constraint so I'm looking at having to have cells stand up on end
I'm trying to expand a battery. The matching cells have their tabs on opposing sides and my form factor is gonna have the new cells standing up on end, resting on a tab. Is this gonna damage the cell over time?
Thanks!
It's gonna be from China so I'm not sure if there would be a manual. Sakes person says it'll be fine but nothing beats a first hand account. Thank you for the replay! Saves me from buying a $50 contractor!
Turns out the barcode was a serial number.
Used dimensions and battery pack (120ah... Though I was dubious at first) to find cell

Still unsure if chemistry...
Hi, I'm currently in the design process of upgrading my bike. I'm gonna add an 80a onboard charger to it...do I need to disconnect the charger from the batter when I ride my motorcycle? It does have regenerative charging.
Thanks
So I have no idea what cells these are or what their specs are. Only thing I have is a barcode that reads "JG214H07462". Trying to expand this battery with identical cells.
They're pouch cells, measuring 300mm x 95mm x 14.5mm
