    Full Suspension Mountain Bike

    I ditto vote for sweet used bike: -chromoly or aluminum frame, -nice headset -good shocks -nice crank bearings and wheel bearings (if your going to use the front wheel) -good brakes -quality components ~$1500 new, $500 (or less) used. Then get some nice tires. Put all the batts in the...

    Full suspension VS no suspension

    Geez Ypedal, sir, you are like almost 130 years old!! I'd wager your even older than safe (no offence)!. How you do that? I think that some nice use of spring steel, can make a sweet suspension frame design- you can tailor it to the weight and shock effect you want. Negligible loss with...

    Chain Sizes

    The thing I learn from this is that bicycle chain is stronger than #35... But don't people that hook up eteks with bicycle chains snap them often? (This could be worse from using a too small drive sprocket I guess).

    So what did Tesla drive? (1930)

    I have read some of his work and its way over my head. What I did gather is he was way beyond lighting a bulb up at 10 paces. Anyway I thought the article was cool and knowing just a bit of Tesla's life and work I still say its plausible. How many volts did Tesla put through his body on a...

    So what did Tesla drive? (1930)

    Nevertheless, even if it is fake (I think its exagerated), this is in Tesla's early period when Tesla was working on Niagra hydro for cash- and wireless(etc.) for his passion. He wouldn't get a g/f because it would take time away from his passion. His wireless was with high powered experiments...

    So what did Tesla drive? (1930)

    "Tesla Motors of 2006 runs on a electric motor with a rack of batteries. Nik's Car was Wireless Dude! No need for downtime recharging it. Return to Telsa Company like back in 1930. Wireless free radiant energy! Nikola Tesla had an Electric Pierce Arrow back in 1930, the ICE engine was replaced...

    ``` The Gearing Advantage ```
    34% increase in power. Yeah I'd take it. Also with the Nuvinci you can run a #35, #40, etc. chain. You could put the powerband in the middle and use the higher gears when you are outrunning law enforcement. Yes the weight...It corresponds to the power capability of the hub- easily handling...
    ``` The Gearing Advantage ```

    And there is no better setup for this type of drive imho than a belt drive with hardened aluminum sprockets attached to a nuVinci hub. Sweeet. I'd save and get a nuvinci with dual chain sprockets. <img...

    AC motor power vs dc hub question

    Here is the electricity coming out of a 14lb. $350 inverter (input 24v): Continuous: 2500 Watts Surge Rating: 3600 Watts Output: Modified Sine Wave 115 VAC I guess my question is: could an AC motor using this power source rival that of a Crystalite X5@48v?
