    Controller issues

    A shorted yellow phase wire could have damaged a fet. The capacitor rolling around could have damaged/shorted something else on the controller. Dont bother with any fixes, just replace the controller, if its not specifically "locked" to the brand.

    Why do you need to know that is a unique "engine" number? What do you plan to use it for? Sometimes the manufacturing line will write stuff on the inside of the motor like kv or other useful info on the winding wire stats.

    Battery has no output but is fully charged.

    Use a digital multi meter and measure the voltages before the bms (a full voltage number for the battery pack), and measure each grouping (small voltage range of around 2-4.20v). Then you go measuring the switch, the led thingy and the bms output.

    Its a matter of troubleshooting by eliminating all other possibilities. Having a Megohm meter is handy to test the motor windings resistance, but I bet there are other ways to analyze the windings that are far more technologically advanced that might be able to tell you even more information...

    Yeah, e-bikes are the future

    Keep everything affordable and only go with 7 or 8spd gearing, I like lots of gears for climbing while on an ebike, some of the steep stuff requires 22chain by 32rear even with the watts, if ya like to pedal for fitness.
