    Does it sound like a bad bearing? If not, disconnect the phase wires from the controller and check again for resistance. If the rolling resistance disappears, you have cooked FETs in your controller and they are shorted.

    FWIW - my steel chinese electric enduro bike weighed in at around 80lbs on the bathroom scale with 12s 16ah lipo packs ready to ride. I was surprised to see it weigh so little. Makes me wonder about those scales.......

    Received the motor/wheel kit today, but unfortunately it makes a loud rubbing sound. It sounds like from behind the freewheel. I'm guessing it is a bearing but haven't dug into it. Installing washers doesn't help and I haven't cinched down the axle nuts yet. Hasn't been powered on yet...

    Do any BMS's balance at 4.1V instead of 4.2V?

    Before settling on lipo and a balance charger, I searched for something with a programmable cell voltage as I wanted to set them at 4.05/cell. They exist but can be a bit pricey. I couldn't find an affordable (non-programmable) one that did less than 4.2 (or more) volts per cell.

    Planning a vacation to Colorado in July and want to take a couple of electric bikes. Do any or many of the rec paths restrict ebike usage? Looking at the area around Frisco and Silverthorne in particular but open for general suggestions or discussion about ebike use on public paths.
