    BOSS LEVEL CUSTOM SPOT WELDER

Just got my spot welder today only took 5 days to ship including weekends. I havent seen anyone running this off a 12v car battery so thats the first thing I setup, using 2 8awg 4ft long cables. And you guessed it worked like a charm with a dead 18650 and the supplied strips that came with the...

Motor and controller from a kobalt 80v mower

I understand now, I tossed the original controller to the side because I could not get it to power up. It has 3 power input wires and after some research the 3rd line is some communication or voltage supply when hooked up to the sock battery pack. From what I understand the 80v pack sends pos...

Motor and controller from a kobalt 80v mower

Threading on the shaft is M10x1.5 To mount a sprocket I took a bolt and ground a keyway into and screwed it right into the shaft.... Done for my need at the moment Shaft dimensions are 17mm thick by aprox 35 mm from the face of the Motor keyway on shaft goes down to 14.5mm and is 15.5mm...

Motor and controller from a kobalt 80v mower

I picked up a razor crazy cart, the smaller one, and being a big kid I need that to go fast lol... Will post the build progress on that when I start. Are you talking about the 3 speed switch thats on these controllers? Cause I have a throttle that is hooked up and working. Just havent touched...

Motor and controller from a kobalt 80v mower

Solved the halls and have it running with throttle on the controller at 52v The wire I built to go to the controller had the green and yellow wire swapped hence the arrow on the diagram

Motor and controller from a kobalt 80v mower

Cracked open the Motor to figure out the halls and everything was potted, but on the board I found labels for A B C GND + 5 which I pinned out to the cable as follows Now to just figure out A B C to connect to the green yellow blue of the hall connection on thw controller

Motor and controller from a kobalt 80v mower

This is the random no name controller I had laying around to use with this project, no idea on the specs gonna assume 48v 1000w but not sure, will open it up and add pics next.

Motor and controller from a kobalt 80v mower

Since the controller is just on and off for the mower I am planning to see if I can adapt it to run off a cheap ebike controller I have laying around. So the first thing I need to figure out would be the hall wiring. If anyone has any questions of anything related to this motor feel free to...

Motor and controller from a kobalt 80v mower

I haven't seen any info on these so I wanted to start an info thread on these motors, the form factor is small amd I received a motor and the controller for free to experiment with so I will document the process here.

X games BMX with 9c hub motor

Just got this running last night, had an old x games bmx laying around so I laced a 9c hub into the back wheel, fitted some disc brakes, used a spare sunwin 48v 1000w controller and a 58v echo battery pack to it. Test ride was 20mph.

    21s bestech bms on a 14s pack

Sounds like a plan, what I was thinking was running a couple miles on the pack to drain it a little then reconnect the bms and charge that way it's at a happy voltage with all the components. If it still heats I'll burn everything ro the ground and start over lol... or just check and replace...

    21s bestech bms on a 14s pack

That's kinda what I was thinking, I have never run a higher cell count bms on a lower cell pack, so if it's just balancing that's fine, I just want to see if I was doing the right thing with the extra sense wires by leaving them open, or like the previous poster said they may need to be...

    21s bestech bms on a 14s pack

Yea it was the lower level of resistors near channel one of the sense wires. Before I built the pack I charged every cell individual on a foxnovo intelligent charger so I started with all cells at equal voltage. Could it be trying to balance the cells that are connected with the upper channels...

    21s bestech bms on a 14s pack

I hooked it up last night and left the upper channels disconnected, and the board just started heating up. All the connections were correct I double checked them the only thing different from their diagram was the upper channels not connected.

    21s bestech bms on a 14s pack

I have a 21s bestech bms the d131b and a 14s pack with no bms, would it be possible to use these together and just not hook up the last 7 sense wires?
