    15ah LiFeP04 higher volume than 25ah LiFeP04 ??

That's the only thing I could think of... Kind of disappointed because I was originally planning on buying the 25ah, but dreading fitting it. The prices jumped by $100+ by the time I was ready to buy, so I decided to just downgrade it for now, and enjoy the fact that the battery would be easier...

    15ah LiFeP04 higher volume than 25ah LiFeP04 ??

My 15ah sun-ebike battery came in the other day, and it's massive... decided to see how much bigger the sun-ebike 25ah is... According to the dimensions given on each product's ebay page, the 48v 15ah(13.5x15.5x26cm) battery is 935 cubic centimeters LARGER than the 48v 25ah (26.5*10*17CM). Any...

Anyone successfully spoke up a fatbike wheel?

Alright, perfect. I'll just go ahead and get a solid rim with 2 sets of offset holes. When the motor comes, in, I'll take my measurements, do my calculations, and decide whether or not I want to drill new holes for the spokes, or just use longer spokes on one side. I think I'll cross lace it...

Anyone successfully spoke up a fatbike wheel?

Thanks for the reply, Panurge. I'm not having any luck finding a place to actually buy those rims, though. Maybe I'm not explaining my concern correctly. The bike that I'm looking at is a fatbike with a 135mm rear dropout. I can't tell for sure, but it seems to me that it uses a standard...

Anyone successfully spoke up a fatbike wheel?

Thanks for the reply, waynebergman I came across crossing the spokes on another build, and they gave the same reasoning. I will assume that I'll have to do that and start off with that plan. My question about the spokes is whether they'll fit in the hub. Will the balled end of the smaller...

Anyone successfully spoke up a fatbike wheel?

Good point on the dropouts. The bike I'm looking at actually has 135mm dropouts, but it's single speed, so you can fit a 80mm rim on it. That's where I'm getting tripped up. It's not a typical fat-bike set-up. The rear dropouts aren't offset out like a Pugsly. They just took a mountain bike...

Ohp... Should this be in Ebike Technical? Can someone move it?

Anyone successfully spoke up a fatbike wheel?

I'm planning my first build, reading everything I can, but I'm hitting roadblock after roadblock on getting info about fatbikes. Here's the plan so far; Bike; Gravity Deadeye Monster, 21in (I'm 6'5 - 220lbs) http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/gravity/fat-bikes/fat-bikes-deadeye-monster.htm...

Any updates on this? I'm planning on doing a Gravity deadeye monster for my first build, and having a hell of a time trying to figure out how the offset is gonna affect building the rear wheel up. Planning on getting a 36H fat rim, and swapping it out for the rim on a Chinese 1000w 48v ebay kit...
