TSDZ2 Temp sensor installed, now intermittent E02

Ah, of course, I didn't think to check the OSF manual for error codes. I just googled 'E02 TSDZ2' and found this thread and this pdf with similar description for the VLCD5. Interestingly, I see a slight difference from your copy/paste to my OSF manual. Where you have pasted I see Incidentally...

TSDZ2 Temp sensor installed, now intermittent E02

Hi guys, Frustrated with the performance of the TSDZ2 750W, I installed an LM35 temperature sensor as per this thread and flashed emmebrusa's latest OSF so I could keep the original VLCD5. It seemed to go ok, but when I got it back together again and turned it on, the display read "62.4mph"...

    TSDZ2 750W no more powerful than 250W

I found the 'Power Setting (A)' in the display's 'hidden setting', stock firmware. The default setting is 16 and goes up to 32. I can't find much about what the setting actually changes, some people seem to suggest it is Amps, some people that it's degrees of it's full power. So I am wondering...

    TSDZ2 750W no more powerful than 250W

Lots of great info here, thanks. Not sure I'll get around to modding the motor unfortunately due to time constraints, though I'd enjoy doing so. But it seems a shame that TongSheng didn't pre-empt these issues in the first place. Are you stating that there are manufacturing inconsistencies...

    TSDZ2 750W no more powerful than 250W

You say there are just two types, but I see advertised 250, 350, 500, and 750w in various combinations with 36, 48 and 52v. Are you saying that some of these are false variants (same motor just marketed differently/reprogrammed)? The person who fitted the TSDZ2 36V to landlady's bike said it's...

    TSDZ2, no Pedal Assist?

It does seem to work fine after all. Clearly I was just not appreciating how much torque is needed to activate. Apologies for neglecting to report back and say thanks at the time. Only issue I'm having now is an apparent lack of power! https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=111389

    TSDZ2 750W no more powerful than 250W

Hi. I recently fitted my partner with a 750w 48v TSDZ2, with the standard (VLC5 I think) display. I haven't put the throttle on and would rather avoid it, so just peddle assist at the moment. Also haven't looked into settings yet and custom firmware etc. It works ok, but just doesn't seem to...

    TSDZ2, no Pedal Assist?

I've started installing a brand new 750w TSDZ2 on a bike for my partner. I tested it with throttle before I began and it seemed fine. I've now got the motor mounted in the bottom bracket shell so thought it would be a good moment to test the pedal assist. So I turn the cranks but don't feel like...

    Help Opening Old Hub Motor

Hi, thanks for that. Yes did check it disconnected first and same problem.

    Help Opening Old Hub Motor

I'm trying to get an old e trike going I picked up recently. Think I've narrowed the fault down to the motor, wheel won't turn backwards so think it's seized somehow inside and only moving on the freewheel. I have made a thread about it here but replies seem to have dried up so thought I'd start...

Help finding the fault, old e-trike

As an update to this, I've concluded that because mine is most likely a geared brushless motor and has those groves, the cover needs to be unscrewed (not axel bashed). I know how aluminium likes to fuse together after time and weather exposure. I have given it some pretty hard whacks with the...

Help finding the fault, old e-trike

Front wheel wont turn backwards including when entirely disconnected from controller. So I'm thinking I've got seized internal gears or clutch. Does that sound like a fair assumption? Now I'm trying to open the hub. It had 4 small bolts around the edge which came out fairly easily, but I don't...

Help finding the fault, old e-trike

Hi. Thanks for that. Reading about testing hall sensors last night I came across this test. Thing is my wheel won't turn backwards! I had assumed that the design of the motor wouldn't allow it to turn backwards. But reading about this I now realise that this is a problem. So I'm now thinking...

Help finding the fault, old e-trike

Ok so across throttle's red and black wires measures 4.4V so I take it that the controller is functioning on some level, which would be consistent with the voltage spike to the motor when the throttle is twisted. Across throttle's black and white wire measures ~ 0.8V when throttle is idle...

Help finding the fault, old e-trike

Thanks everyone. The tester is £22 unless I wait for it to arrive from China. Not really worth it seeing as controller aren't much and I'm only going to use it once. Each lead acid battery charged to about 12.5V. I know it's low after charging, but should be enough to power the bike for...

Help finding the fault, old e-trike

Hi guys. I just bought an electric tricycle on eBay that has "been sat outside for a while". It was dirt cheap and sold as untested so I wasn't expecting it to go first time. Hoping for some help to get it going :) http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/6~0AAOSwYlRZMC9r/s-l1600.jpg Charger works and...
