Should i make a new battery?

21700's are way more expensive and are far off from worth it with the info i've gotten so far. For example these are 7,25 euros: IMR21700 5000mAh - 10A Side note; i think i'd have to pay import tax if i'd order from the website you listed, so i doubt that its cheaper for me.

Crystalyte 408 w water damage - advice req

I personaly dont think that fixing the motor is worth your time, a 408w motor isn't anything that would cost a lot to replace with a new one. I wouldent want to risk a broken motor halfway to my work... Tim

Should i make a new battery?

I think all cells would be put under equal load, so i'd need another (150-64=86A) 84A in battery of the same kind if im correct. I think if the type of cell is different then the discharge is different aswell and the packs would be unbalanced quikly. That would mean i need (84/6.4) another 13...

Should i make a new battery?

Options so far: Samsung INR18650-30Q 3000mAh - 15A 15A discharge rate, which would be fine at the year of useage, but after 250 cycles the capacity (and max current?) drops to 60% These cells are 3,40 euro when buying 200 Other option, more expensive but maybe better? Sony Konion US18650VTC6...

Should i make a new battery?

Hey everyone, I've owned a 1000w 48v bike for over 2 years now. I made 2 packs of cells myself for this, 13S6P * 2 in paralel. I recently bought myself a sabvoton controller, 72150 (72v, 150A) so i needed a new battery pack to supply the voltage. I didn't really think everything through and...

    EEB parts and support info

Hey thanks for the info! I'm running a 5000w motor from C & N (aliexpress). I'm planning to buy the whole kit from the seller and he's paying for import, so buying from Chris would most likely be more expensive for me at this point.. I'm not planning on jumping a lot, i'd just feel safer with a...

Sabvoton throttle error (Error No. 30)

Are you sure that your min throttle is set correctly in the sabvoton settings? I remember from my controller that my throttle sometimes gave ~2 volts at the start, my min throttle was set to 1.5v or so. The controller would then jump in error mode on startup to avoid the bike shooting away by...

    36v 350w controller issues

Did you apply 5 volts on the hall sensor red wire yourself to test them? Either way if the controller is active it should output 5 volts on the red hall sensor wire.. You could try to connect the green or blue wire to black to set it into high or low speed. I'm not aware that this is...

    36v 350w controller issues

Give me a moment to look at that into detail; i've found this one laying around maybe you can relate to some of it: https://i.imgur.com/oLtU49K.jpg At the very top you can see the thin red wire, this is the ignition (connect to red positive) Then second the blue/white, i dont know, could be...

    36v 350w controller issues

What exacly do you mean by the extra wire comming from the battery positive? Is there an extra small red wire comming out of the controller? Based on what do you believe the controller is now active? -> The hall sensors shouldent be the problem at this point - if they're configured in a wrong...

NEED HELP! New ebike build questions

I might be a little late to the party but i would like to add that your motor isn't the issue here. A 1500w motor might aswell be a 1000 or a 2000W motor. You can technicly pump any current trough any motor. The smaller ones just heat up quick and burn down. I'd suggest a controller without...

    EEB parts and support info

I love this frame and i'm very intrested in buying one. I have a couple concerns though; maybe you guys can help me out? The front fork isn't pre-installed, i've never done this and i have no clue how this is done. Can this be done with some simple tools and do i need a specific combination of...

    36v 350w controller issues

Looking again at the pictures i see that the cables are labled; care to share what they say? My guess: Yellow + black = brake Brown = feedback from hall sensor (mostly unused) Pink = could be the high speed setting or a boost setting; most often connected to ground to function, controller works...

    36v 350w controller issues

Hey there, It's hard to see from the pictures what's going on but i might be able to give you some general advice; To my knolledge the alarm function on the controller doesn't have to be activated/dealth wit in order to make the controller work. I've never used this myself but i believe it...

Speed Limiter on PCB: I'm clueless

Hey there, Normaly there's a shunt on the PCB somewere, it pumps current trough the shunt, then reads back the voltage difference. Based on the difference in voltage it can calculate the amount of amps you're pulling through the controller, it them limits the amps if needed. A 'solution' to...

Sabvoton SVMC072150 controller review, variable regen *PICS*

hey, I'm trying to get my variable regen to work on my 72150. It has a 3 pin throttle connector aswell as a 3pin variable regen connector; here's the wiring which im currently using: https://i.imgur.com/zW3et5F.png Throttle works fine, but the regen doesn't do anything. When connecting...

    Sabvoton SVMC208014(M) e-brake

Hi amberwolf, Most people say that you have to enable brake, then add a variable signal to start braking. however i've been running 12v up my transparant wire and connecting the purple/black to ground, at this point the wheel slows down about 20% almost as if flux weakening is turned off...

    Sabvoton SVMC208014(M) e-brake

Hi all, I've recently upgraded to a new controller, the SVMC208014 from Sabvoton. It's been fun having a go with the settings so far. I've been reading online for the past 3 days or so trying to find out how to enable the e-brake, so far i've found plenty of information around the topic but...

Enabling regenerative braking on eBay hub kit

Regenerative braking is diffrent for each controller. I've got 2 cables comming out, when i connect them and brake, it uses regenerative braking. When i disconnect, it only cuts the power. These wires have to be installed by your seller, or else you'd have to add them yourself. This however...

Newbie needs help - Jetson Gen 1 bike only goes 20 feet

Your battery drops slightly in voltage as you pull power from it. This voltage is mesured, and cut off by the display/controller when it drops below 'minimum' voltage. I bet that if you'd try to pull up really slow and speed up really slow your issue would be gone. A solution for your issue...
