Help - Charger wiring blue positive output

Thanks Inanek. Chargers I got off Amazon did follow the usual wiring that I'd expected. If they don't follow this, then I don't know how any dealer could resell them, particularly with the various conectors buyers want. I assume the component which broke was a non replaceable fuse which at...

Help - Charger wiring blue positive output

I've previously purchased cheaper chargers from aliexpress for my EM3EV battery and converted the charge output wire to xt60 without any problem. I needed an adapter to their strange ST3 socket, so used xt 60 to go between. I repeated the process yesterday with a 58.8v charger with 8A output...

BBS02 unusual clutch feel and heavy feeling

Hi All, I've used my BBS02 for a good 8000km in the Pyrenees mountains and know how it normally handles quite well. I re-greased it two weeks ago (no I couldn't access mobilgrease 28 in France) but I am not sure if this was a factor. When getting on the bike to start riding now, the pedaling...

    TSDZ2

Location France Is anyone interested in a briefly used TSDZ2 system? I used it for 3 rides then removed it to attempt to reprogram the firmware. I didn't manage to change the profile so it is sold with the original firmware. Everything is included but the plugs will need to be re-souldered back...

Am I asking for trouble? BBS02 on carbon road frame

Just a quick update on this thread for those who commented. I never got any real conclusive answer and that's probably because there isn't one. Dapu hub motor compatible controller.

Hi Guys, I hope somebody can help. I purchased a lightweight Dapu hub motor : http://www.dapumotors.com/id-4.html?t=en-us It was sold without a working controller, and I just assumed I could get away with using a generic or KT controller. I hope I am still corrct but I am uncertain based on...

Am I asking for trouble? BBS02 on carbon road frame

Maybe not, I was just looking at this thread about people inserting an alloy spacer into frames with a BB30 bottom bracket. https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=80319 The spacer is simply pressed in and glued in with locktite. If the Bafang was really applying equal force in the...

Am I asking for trouble? BBS02 on carbon road frame

Thanks mystryda, Your insights have given me an answer that I am almost certain is correct. I'd never really considered the concept of the bottom bracket spinout, but it must be the case. The frame almost certainly WILL fail at some point, though I wouldn't expect the failure would be a...

Am I asking for trouble? BBS02 on carbon road frame

Thanks mystryda, I appreciate your specific feedback. Where on the frame would the stress be most concentrated? I assume based on the idea you give of torsional load that it would be highest on the chain stays. They look very solid at the bottom bracket but a bit thinner at the hub end...

    Portable 5-8 amp charger

I ordered this charger about a year ago online and haven't been game to try it. Its tiny and lightweight, but I am not sure I trust it based on the fact that the seller was able to set the charging at my chosen setting from 1 to 10 amps. Maybe its a silly newbie question, but does anybody have...

    Portable 5-8 amp charger

Thanks John61ct, Those chargers do look nice and powerfull, but a little bulky and heavy. Still very good for the price and I am interested to get one to keep at work. I can enquire about postage to Pau France. Do you have a preferred courier option?

    Portable 5-8 amp charger

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on an inexpensive but lightweight 5amp charger for the EM3EV 52v battery. I have the charger supplied and its great, but if I want to carry the charger on a ride its a bit to heavy and bulky. I love and respect the battery, so don't want to...

Am I asking for trouble? BBS02 on carbon road frame

Thanks for your ideas guys. I've used the bike for a month now and love it. It handles really well, doesn't feel like the frame is under too much stress. You were right 2old It came loose after the first few rides, but now tight has stayed tight. I expect that even more than a regular crash on...

Am I asking for trouble? BBS02 on carbon road frame

Hi Guys, I know there's no black and white when building bikes to use in a way they weren't designed to be used, but I am just interested in peoples opinion on this build. I have a 3 year old carbon road frame which I wasn't using as often as I should have been, so I built the bafang on to it...

    Help with TSDZ2 programming

    Help with TSDZ2 programming

Thanks sfwebcom, you might have just given me the detail that justifies trying again for a few more hours. My interpretation, of the ST link print is the other way around. RST and SWIM pins totally look on the diagram like they should be the top row, not the bottom. I am also now keeping the...

    Help with TSDZ2 programming

Ok, I spent 4 more hours today, I am ready to put this thing in the bin. So I got the TSDZ2 then got a 52 volt battery from em3ev but hadn't thought of the voltage problem. I cant use the motor at all. I flashed the screen, slowly but got there. The motor is impossible; things I've tried: 5...

    Help with TSDZ2 programming

Thanks for getting back to us Aquakitty. Potentially my connections are fine but maybe the drivers for the ST link are not correct, or conflicting choice of wires to connect. I did have a similar problem for a long time in flashing the screen, but eventually got there. I am losing hope that...
