    Nuvinci N171 leak

The axle seal on the freewheel side leaks a little. I was told by EcoCycles owner that slight leakage is normal and not to worry about it. That there is more than enough fluid in the hub.

    Nuvinci N171 ACS freewheel removal

I just wanted to add that there is a way to remove the freewheel assembly from the Nuvinci N171 hub. This method will remove the nuvinci freehub slotted adapted along with the freewheel. Then after it is removed you will have to unthread the adapter out of the freewheel. EcoCycles used to sell a...

Which geared hub for BBSHD in a full-fat tandem trike?

Just a follow up to @kiltedcelt comment about shifting problems. I have a couple recommendations to help. 1. Use Jagwire LEX 4mm (non compressible) cable housing. 2. Cylinderical LiFePO4 cells?

I agree 100%. I use A123 ANR26650M1-B LIFEPO4 cells for EBike builds. They can provide 50A continuous per cell, 120A burst. Being LIFEPO4 chemistry they can be cycled 3x more than typical Li-Ion cells. Battery Hookup sells those cells around $1 each. They are listed as used but all the ones I...

kWeld - "Next level" DIY battery spot welder

For the last couple years I've been using a DIY spotwelder using a microwave transformer and a controller from avdweb.nl in The Netherlands to build E-Bike packs. Results were not that spectacular especially with thicker tab material and 26650 batteries. So I recently purchased the Kweld kit and...
