    It looks like the 2200mAh version of those cells (the ones in the pack are 2000mAh) go for under a dollar a cell. A good cell costs over 5 times that. It wasn't designed to last long.

    3 crank turns is a lot/excessive. Another reason for the delay may be that your disc is too far from the sensor or not aligned and not picking up the pulses consistently. The magnets need to pass by the sensor with a very small gap (~1-2mm) to function properly.

    That's an interesting excerpt on how max phase current is determined based on the cross section of the conductor. Do you have a link to where that section was copied from? I'd like to somehow incorporate that into my FAQ.
