Hi,

I'm looking to build an electric motorbike, using a salvaged derbi senda 50cc frame..

I would like to keep weight (and cost) to as much of a minimum as possible, hence would like to investigate using mountain bike wheel on the front??

I'm on a bit of a budget, and can't afford the likes of the DNM USD-8's etc.. as forks....

Would anyone be able to advise if I could fit 27" MTB wheels on a Pit bike fork??

Many thanks in advance, and apologies for my "newbieness"

Wouldn't the axels be different sizes? I would think you would need adapters to fit the larger axel of a pit bike which lowers your affordability/cost cutting measure, could be wrong though.

If you could you wouldn't be asking. Better get another 50cc wheel. People almost give them away for free.
