I have a GPS tracker to put somewhere on my bike, and it has the 5V wire input option to be soldered on pcb, instead of using the classic 3.7V battery / USB charge.
Using a step-down, with output set at 6v (for headlight+rearlight) can I connect its 6V output to the 5V input of the GPS tracker ? Or should I consider that voltage regulator's tolerances (which I can not identify on the tracker PCB) do not reach 6v (that's 20% more) ?
