Im in the planning stages of converting a CRF450 to electric. I want to run a 4 or more kw motor with 3 scooter batteries I have laying around (60V35Ah). I'd like to position the motor on the swingarm (yes I know unsprung weight), and I want it watercooled, since the radiators are already there, and I have some bad experiences with air cooled. Putting the motor on the swingarm would hugely increase the room I have for batteries in the frame.
A Golden motor 3KW watercooled (HPM3KW-LIQ) would just about fit or just about not fit. A QS138 wouldnt fit.
With some more flow I could potentially overpower a smaller 2kw motor? Does anyone have any input or recommendations?
